Well, that's all for this week! I'm off to watch Vampire Diaries... What do you love?

Who doesn't love the rain?

There's nothing like sitting, snuggled up in a quilt, listening to the rain. So soothing and peaceful. So, I find it quite odd when people say they don't like the rain, "it's depressing, blah blah blah". But I think it'd be wonderful to live in Seattle! And I can see myself there in four or five years. My favorite time in the rain was probably dancing in it, on the beach at night, with my siblings. Any moment can be beautiful with a little rain.

My inspiration.

I suppose I should explain the reason why I have a blog. I never ever would've thought about starting a few months ago.. But one fine summer morning, I stumbled upon Julian Smith's blog. It wasn't very interesting, certainly not inspirational. But it had a link to his, at the time, girlfriend's blog: theoneinpink.com . I quickly became addicted to it. Sarah Smith is a lovely lovely woman with a great taste in fashion and music. She's very Indie/Urban/Seattle/NewYorkish. All her posts are wonderful and optimistic. I've started to see things through her point of view.. It is thanks to her that I will post "things i love thursday" posts. So thank you Sarah, for your wonderful insight.

Newport.

My favorite vacation spot since I was a kid, has always been the Oregon Coast. This year, our family got a camping spot for a week at South Beach, Newport Oregon. Best vacation ever. Running on the beach every morning and night, tide pools, making sand castles, rescuing baby seals, window shopping, crabbing, and watching the sunset... I am literally in love with the ocean. Our camera was dropped in the sand by someone who will not be named, on the first day... So we didn't get any pictures.. :( That was a bummer.. Here some good ones I found from random photographer... apparently it's a popular place to get married.

The sunsets were absolutely beautiful there..

Long-awaited arrival.

Today, after what seemed like months, my overalls arrived in the mail! They totally met my expectation! The denim is super soft and comfy and I can see myself wearing this everyday without a little self-control... :)

Uh oh. Here's my first fashion picture... Many MANY more to come. I love the tone and texture on this piece... Tim Walker Photography.

Plan to be surprised.

"Dear Readers, for most of you, this will be my first column in your paper. In the future I will be answering your questions, but today I want to break from my usual format and talk to you about the subject of plans. Not so much my plans for this column, more like life plans and how we all make them. How we hope that our kids make good, smart, safe plans of their own. But if we're really honest with ourselves, most of the time our plans don't work out as we hoped. So instead of asking our young people, what are your plans, what do you plan to do with your life? Maybe we should tell them this, plan to be surprised." -Dan In Real Life

I thought I'd start out with a Dan in Real Life quote.. Seeing as it's my favorite movie.
